Organically-Grown Honey-Sweetened Dried Cranberries
8 oz
- Oregon

Without a doubt, some of the best dried cranberries we have ever tasted. Not of that super-sweet stuff here. These cranberries are sweetened with a touch all natural of Blackberry Honey - so they are not overly sweet, and you can still taste that great cranberry flavor.

About the producer

The Vincent Family's ‘Cranberry Roots’ go back to 1957 when their grandfather, Elmer Robison, cultivated his first Cranberry ‘Bog’ on the beautiful Southern Oregon Coast. Grandpa Robison along with his wife, Grandma Velna, raised four children on his Cranberry farm. Three of their children, carrying on the family tradition, now own and operate their own sustainable and responsible Cranberry farming operations.

In 1965, daughter Kay Robison (affectionately known as Golly) married Bill Vincent (papa) and settled down to start a family - now heart and soul of Vincent Family Cranberries. Formerly a commercial fisherman, Bill and Gollydove headfirst into their new life as a small Cranberry farming family. Papa and Golly have worked hard to ensure that their cranberry way of life will carry on for generations to come.

The Vincent Family Cranberry farm is was established in 1957. It is located a half mile from the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean, and offers a very unique growing environment for a Cranberry. The Coastal climate is cool year around with salty winds constantly whipping their Cranberry bogs. Their growing period is long, their bees work harder to pollinate their crops, and they harvest later than most cranberry farmers - often going into the late fall months when the weather is harsher. Although hard work, it makes for a very hardy Cranberry.

Smaller than most commercially grown cranberries, the Brandon variety of cranberry have a deep red color that almost look blacks as it floats on the water of their flooded Cranberry bogs. These dark berries are sweeter and contain a higher than average natural sugar content, so they require less added sweetener before they are bottled or dried. Though the Bandon cranberry is renowned worldwide for these special characteristics, they are even more pronounced with a Vincent Family Cranberry, because of where and how they are grown. Because of the superior quality of their fruit, the Vincent Family have decided to pull their Cranberries out of the anonymous pool of Cranberries that end up in so many different food products on the market today.

Their Cranberry history is built off of the ‘blood, sweat & tears’ of a small, independent, family-owned and run cranberry farm requires. The farm is more than just land to them - it is a ‘sacred ground’ that needs to be nurtured through natural and responsible farming practices. Small independent family farms are a rare find in today’s world. Let's help keep this one around for generations to come.
