Cacao beans are grown on the 1019-acre private bird sanctuary, Reserva Zorzal, in the northern mountains of the Dominican Republic. Reserva Zorzal sets aside 70% of the land to be forever wild, and is committed to reducing climate change through a collaberative approach to land conservation and reforestation. 130 acres is used to grow organic cacao.
