That trip would change the trajectory of their life together. While there they visited a cocoa farm, and when the peasants asked Paco to make chocolate, he realized his pastry training made him aware of how to handle chocolate and many pastry techniques, but he realized he did not know how to actually make chocolate from the beans. It was while on that Colombian cocoa farm when Juana and Paco decided that we would learn how to make chocolate from the beans, and where they discovered that chocolate does not come from factories, but that chocolate grows on trees.
