I've never had panforte before, so I can't compare this to any other types or brands, but it would be very hard to improve on this one. Who needs candy when you can eat superb panforte?! Even a very small piece feels satisfying. It's fairly sweet because of the dried fruit, but the nuts and cocoa are a perfect foil, so the balance is just right. Same goes for the texture: it's both chewy from the fruit but also crunchy because of the almonds. It's just a total pleasure!
