220 g softened butter 175 g caster sugar 2 large egg yolks Drops of Vanilla extract 275 g of all-purpose flour 16 grams baking powder 50 g porridge oats (oatmeal or rolled oats) 12 red candied cherries
Preheat the oven to 190°C
1. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper
2. Put the butter, sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla extract and flour into a mixing bowl and beat together to form a soft dough.
3. Divide the mixture into 36 portions.
4. Form each piece into a ball and roll in the oats to cover.
5. Flatten each ball slightly and top each with a quarter cherry.
6. Place on the sheet pans.
7. Bake for about 20 minutes or until Golden.
8. Allowed to cool slightly on the baking sheets for a few minutes and then move to a wire rack to cool.
