Lime Sorbet with Lime Bitters Recipe
This recipe gives you a triple lime punch: lime juice, lime zest, and lime bitters. A perfect summer topper, or a palate cleanser between a few rich courses.
Ingredients:
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 cup fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon lime zest
1 teaspoon lime bitters
Directions:
In medium saucepan over medium heat, bring the water, sugar, and lime juice to a simmer. Cover the pan and lower the heat, and cook until the sugar is dissolved - about 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and cool the mixture to room temperature. Stir in the lime zest and lime bitters. Chill the mixture for 2 hours. Put cooled mixture into an ice cream maker and make sorbet according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Makes 6 servings.
