Basic Chocolate Ice Cream Recipe
We have found that ChefShop cocoa makes a great chocolate ice cream, and this is a very simple recipe.
Directions:
1) In a saucepan, beat milk and egg yolks together.
2) Blend in the sugar
3) Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick enough to stick to the spoon.
4) Remove from the heat and sift in the cocoa powder slowly
5) Beat until well blended
6) Cool in the refrigerator, about 30 minutes
7) Add additional milk or cream and vanilla. Mix well and freeze or add to ice cream maker.
8) Stir every 5 minutes for the next 20 minutes (if not using an ice cream maker)
9) Freeze overnight or at least 30 minutes before consuming it all!
