Sam's Sundae Recipe

We heard about this ice cream concoction from the TV Food Channel's show,The Best Thing I Ever Ate, in 2009. We visited Bi-Rite Creamery in San Francisco' s Mission District when we were there in January 2010 to try the combination for ourselves. And, oh man! It was SOOO good!

This is one of those weird and strange combination that just work so well. So easy to try for yourself.... You won't regret it. I promise.

Chocolate Ice Cream - either homemade or the best you can find. The richer the better.
1 tablespoon Bergamot Olive Oil from Etruria
Generous sprinkling of Maldon Sea Salt - a flaky style of sea salt -- so it melts quickly
Whip Cream - optional

1. Place two, huge scoops of chocolate ice cream in a bowl

2. Drizzle with approximately one tablespoon of Bergamot Olive Oil.

3. Sprinkle generously (to taste) with Maldon Sea Salt.

4. Place large dollop of whipped cream on top.

5. Eat.

Makes one sundae
