Moroccan Chicken with Date Syrup and Almonds Recipe


Directions:

1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan.

2. Brown the chicken pieces on both sides and set aside.

3. In the same pan, sauté the onion and garlic until softened.

4. Add the cinnamon, turmeric, saffron, salt, and pepper.

5. Add the chicken back to the pan and pour in a little water to cover.

6. Simmer for about 30 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.

7. Stir in the dates and date syrup, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Garnish with toasted almonds and fresh parsley before serving.
