"Brisling" is a small fish that traditionally was landed in great numbers along the Scandinavian and Baltic coastlines. Here it is prepared by hand and preserved in a can to be sold as the Nordic version of a sardine. The brisling from FANGST is lightly smoked with chamomile and heather and canned in cold presses rapeseed oil - the Nordic oil of choice. Worth of eating right out of the tin!
