Cranberry Sauce Recipe


12 ounces (1 bag?) fresh or frozen Cranberries 

1 cup superfine sugar 

3 oranges for juice and to cook with

Zest of 1 orange and coarsely chopped


Cranberry Sauce Recipe


1. Combine cranberries, sugar and fresh orange juice in heavy medium sized saucepan 

 Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. 

3. Reduce heat and simmer, add the halves of the oranges for 5 minutes

4. Remove the orange skins

5. Cook until berries pop and mixture thickens, stirring frequently to prevent sticking,  about ten minutes. 

 Add 2 tablespoons of the orange zest, reserving the rest for the compote and to stir in.

7. Cool completely in refrigerator.
