Classic Dark Chocolate Sauce

This is a great, quick recipe. And easy as pie, if you have the right chocolate on hand.

Adapted from

5 ounces bittersweet chocolate, shaved or chopped
2/3 cup heavy cream

Combine chocolate and cream in a 1- to 2-quart pan. Stir over low heat just until chocolate melts, 5 to 7 minutes. Use hot, warm, or cool. Or put into serialized canning jars, and store in the fridge for up to a month. Reheat before using.
