Confection: a dish or delicacy made with sweetness. Also, it is the action of creating, compounding, the mixing of ingredients, such as medicinal mixture that includes sweet syrups, but can also include sweet breads and pastries.
Both highly desirable things to have! I prefer to blend both candy and confections in one meal, perhaps dinner.
