The Sweetie Smoothie Recipe
This chocolate berry smoothie is perfect way to get a little of that healthful Chef Shop cocoa powder into your morning routine. Perfect for later in the summer when the blueberries abound.
Smoothie recipe courtesy of Gabriel Constans, Luscious Chocolate Smoothies (Libertary Editions, 2010). The Sweetie smoothie recipe makes 4 cups which is more than enough for one person. If serving fewer, just cut recipe in half. And, don't forget to buy organic, locally-grown fruit whenever possible - especially those fruits that are on the dirty-dozen list, like strawberries. It's also good to wash your fruit before you peel it, and much of the pesticide residue resides on the skin.
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in a blender and mix on high for 1 minute.
2. Pour into clear glasses and serve.
Yield: 4 cups
