In 2026, ChefShop invites you to taste, explore, and celebrate great food with us in Seattle. Throughout the year, we host a rotating calendar of in-store events—from olive oil tastings and themed chocolate experiences to meet-the-maker chocolate events and our famous annual Taste of the Cakes. Whether you’re discovering new ingredients, meeting the people behind the products, or simply sampling something delicious while you shop, our events are designed to foster connection in our amazing community of food-lovers.

Saturday, January 17 - Olio Nuovo Tasting
Stop by during store hours to taste the freshest, greenest olive oils of the year! We'll have them up on the Flavor Bar for sampling all day. 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, February 7 - Valentine's Day Chocolate Tasting
Get inspired with chocolate gifts for your honey, your bestie, or yourself! We'll be tasting bean-to-bar chocolate that's sweet, spicy, or both! 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Saturday, February 7 - Seattle Thaw Tasting Event
For one night only, Seattle Thaw members can sample Valentine-themed bean-to-bar chocolate while catching up with friends, meeting new folks, and getting access to shop at ChefShop after hours! 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Sunday, March 29 - Seattle Thaw Chocolate Event
Seattle Thaw members: Stop by to see if you'll be April Fooled by unique chocolate inclusions like olives, peppercorns, cupuaçu, and more. Weird...or wonderful? You be the judge! 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Saturday, April 11 - Chocolate Tasting Event
Stop by and taste bean-to-bar chocolate from our newest maker, Valley Isle Chocolate! Crafted on Maui, you'll love this taste of Hawaii, with bars including macadamia nuts, Kona coffee, and more. As always, tasting is free! 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Saturday, May 9 - Mother's Day Honey Tasting Event
We've got Mom in mind for this event! Swing by ChefShop Seattle and explore the world of honey—bright, floral, wild, and wonderfully complex. From delicate to deeply aromatic, discover how different honeys bring unique flavors to the table. Bring Mom along, or bring something home for her! As always, tasting is free. 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Thursday, May 21 - Magnolia Chamber of Commerce ChefShop Social
Exclusive event for member of the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce! Join us for an evening of wine, bites, and great company. Mingle, taste, and explore the shop in a relaxed, social setting. 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 20 - Father's Day Hot Sauce Tasting Event
Dad's turn! Turn up the heat with a curated lineup of hot sauces—from bright and tangy to bold and fiery. Taste your way through unique flavors and find Dad a new favorite. Bonus: We've got a line-up of spicy chocolate to wow him with too. As always, tasting is free! 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Saturday, July 11 - A Taste of Japan: Meet the Makers at ChefShop
Join us for a rare afternoon with visiting Japanese producers from Yugeta, Wadaman, and Nitto Jozo. Taste soy sauce, sesame, shirotamari, and other distinctive Japanese ingredients while meeting the makers behind them and learning how these flavors can bring depth to everyday cooking. 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Thursday, October 1 – Meet the Makers Chocolate Tasting
Don't miss our 4th annual Meet the Makers event, where we welcome bean-to-bar chocolate makers into the shop to share their chocolate and their stories.
Friday - Sunday, November 27 - 29 – Taste of the Cakes
Our biggest event of the year! We'll have a spread of all our favorite Panettone, Panforte, Fruitcake, and more holiday treats for sampling. 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday

All ChefShop Seattle events are free, unless otherwise noted. No tickets or reservations needed—just drop in during event hours.

The ChefShop Flavor Bar—Daily Tastings in Seattle
You don’t need to plan around an event to taste something special at ChefShop. Our in-store Flavor Bar is open every day, inviting you to sample a curated mix of ingredients that show what great sourcing and craftsmanship can deliver. Expect a standing selection of standout olive oils, along with a rotating cast of featured tastes—think exquisite Italian balsamic vinegars, craft chocolate, and pantry favorites.
Drop in whenever you’re shopping and take a moment to taste, compare, and discover. Flavor Bar tastings are always complimentary and available whenever the shop is open—no reservations needed.

FAQ
Do I need tickets or reservations?
No. Our events are free unless noted—just drop in during event hours.
Is there parking?
Yes—there are a few spots on the south side of the shop, plus additional free parking in the Elliott Junction gravel lot just north of the shop.
Can I shop during the event?
Yes. The shop is fully open during events. If you're looking for help with something we're not sampling, just ask!
Are events family-friendly?
Yes! Kids are welcome. Please supervise little tasters.
