Cook Mode (Keep screen awake)

2 scoop Chocolate Ice Cream - either homemade or the best you can find. The richer the better.

1 tablespoon Bergamot Olive Oil

Generous sprinkling of a flaky style of sea salt -- so it bites easily

Whip Cream - optional

Sam's Sundae Recipe

We heard about this ice cream concoction from the TV Food Channel's show,The Best Thing I Ever Ate, a long time ago. We visited Bi-Rite Creamery in San Francisco's Mission District when we were there to try the combination for ourselves. And, oh man! It was SOOO good!

This is one of those weird and strange combination that just work so well. So easy to try for yourself.... You might just love it!

directions:
1. Place two, huge scoops of chocolate ice cream in a bowl

2. Drizzle with approximately one tablespoon plus of Bergamot Olive Oil.

3. Sprinkle generously with flaky Sea Salt.

4. Place large dollop of whipped cream on top.

Eat. Smile.

Our favourite cocoa I have 8 varieties of cocoa at home -- red cocoa, black cocoa, natural cocoa, and several high-end specialty cocoas (Barry Extra Brut, Valrhona, Guittard, Ghirardelli...). My family goes through enormous quantities of cocoa powder -- for hot cocoa, brownies, chocolate cakes, cookies... and this is by far our favourite. It has depth, complexity, and richness. While the specialty cocoas are excellent, I find they can sometimes be quite bitter, lack richness or body. This one is always perfect for whatever we are making. And being in Canada, I go to great lengths to buy this cocoa -- that should tell you how much we love it! - Monika
