Some of the best food discoveries happen when you taste something you weren't expecting.
That's what our 2027 ChefShop events are all about. At our Seattle specialty food shop, we bring curious eaters, home cooks, chocolate enthusiasts, and adventurous food lovers together to explore exceptional ingredients—one delicious taste at a time.
This year's calendar brings back some favorite traditions, including our popular Olio Nuovo tasting, chocolate events featuring remarkable bean-to-bar makers, our annual celebration of locally grown hardneck garlic, and the 26th annual Taste of the Cakes. We're also kicking off the year with a deep dive into high-percentage dark chocolate, with plenty more discoveries planned throughout the seasons.
Most ChefShop events are free, casual, and open to everyone. There's no need to be an expert, and for our regular drop-in tastings, no reservations are required. Just bring your curiosity, ask questions, compare flavors, and discover something worth taking home.
Our 2027 calendar is growing! We've listed our planned events below and will add new tastings, visiting makers, and special experiences as they're confirmed. Check back for updates, sign up for our newsletter below, or follow @ChefShopSeattle on Instagram for the latest announcements.

The ChefShop Flavor Bar: There's Always Something to Taste
You know that moment when you taste an ingredient and suddenly understand why it's special? That's what we love about the ChefShop Flavor Bar.
Every day, we invite visitors to taste and compare extraordinary ingredients right in our Seattle shop. Start with a few of our favorite extra virgin olive oils and explore how dramatically they can differ—from delicate and buttery to grassy, peppery, and bold. Then see what else we've opened. Depending on the day, you might discover a beautifully aged balsamic vinegar, an intriguing craft chocolate bar, or something unexpected from our specialty food pantry.
Our Flavor Bar is a chance to explore ingredients before buying them, discover what makes them distinctive, and ask us all your food questions. It's the same curious, flavor-obsessed approach we bring to our special events, available every day.
Tastings are always complimentary during regular store hours. No reservations or special occasion required—just stop in and see what's tasting!
