Gold: 2019 Bean to Bar Brazil Awards for Dark Chocolate Bars.

This 2-award-winning 70% dark chocolate bar was Mission's first chocolate bar made with cacao from the Brazilian Amazon. The notes of this bar are very distinct from all the cocoa that comes from Bahia, a very pleasant surprise.

This bar melts into a creamy texture with some tannic notes. After a nice roasted nut base of flavor with a slightly astringet finish, comes a mild licorice note and bright bursts of burnt candied orange. This then gives way to a honey and chocolate caramel cream note. The aftertaste is a deeply satisfying - like dark chocolate pudding.

Arcelia's tasting notes: Brown sugar, light molasses with bright notes of tropical green that fades to finish with a lingering rich brandy black cherry finish.
