Cedrat—an ancient citrus variety—is softer, more aromatic, and unexpectedly complex. Here, thick pieces of candied citron are enrobed in Ara Chocolat’s dark bean-to-bar chocolate, creating something that feels both classic and entirely new.

The first bite is all texture: tender, almost chewy fruit beneath the chocolate. Then the flavor unfolds—gentle citrus sweetness, floral notes, and a subtle herbal edge (is that thyme?) that lingers longer than you expect.

About Ara Chocolat

Founded in 2015 by Venezuelan couple Andrés and Sabrina, Ara Chocolat is one of the very few bean-to-bar makers roasting its own cacao in France. Working from a tiny Parisian workshop, Ara sources cacao directly from small growers and cooperatives across Latin America, with a focus on rare native and ancestral varieties. Every batch reflects the company’s commitment to preserving cacao heritage while letting the flavor of each ingredient speak clearly.
