55 gram bar - Vancouver, CANADA

This limited-release bar is a celebration of place, craft, and flavor. Made with rare cacao from the northern Philippine town of Echague in the Cagayan Valley, it unfolds in smooth, creamy layers with flavor notes of roasted chestnuts, Black Forest cake, and a whisper of stout beer. The beans were carefully fermented in Gmelina wood boxes and slow-dried over several days by Kasama's friends, Kuya Earl and Ate Jessi Ann—an approach that adds depth, warmth, and a comforting character to this 70% dark chocolate.

Kasama Chocolate is a Filipino-Canadian, small-batch chocolate maker dedicated to honoring the flavors, heritage, and people behind their cacao. Every bar is crafted bean-to-bar with intention, celebrating relationships with farmers, regional traditions, and the Filipino spirit of hospitality and joy. The vibrant packaging for this bar—designed by artist Ana Mengote Baluca—draws inspiration from the Camarag flower and the rich indigenous textiles of the Gaddang and Yogad peoples of Cagayan Valley. Kasama’s chocolate is more than delicious; it’s a tribute to culture, connection, and craft.
