about Early Robin Cherries:
Early Robin Cherries are a early ripening Rainier-like Cherries. They are very low acid, so they taste very sweet. With its characteristic cream-colored flesh, Early Robin Cherries are a new variety, and farmers will not pick them until the sugar brix (a measure of how sweet the cherry is) reach 17. But some wait until they reach 20 brix. That is one of the reasons they are so amazingly delicious -- and addictive.

Our cherries are of premium export-quality, hand-selected, cold transported, sorted a second time, and carefully packaged and shipped overnight to ensure they arrive at their peak of freshness and flavor - a level of care, labor and expense that is reflected in the price.
To local (Seattle) customers:
Local Seattle customers can pick up their cherries directly at our retail shop (1425 Elliott Ave West, Seattle, 98119) and receive up to $40-60/order rebate (in the form of a store credit) at the time of pickup. Our favourite cocoa
I have 8 varieties of cocoa at home -- red cocoa, black cocoa, natural cocoa, and several high-end specialty cocoas (Barry Extra Brut, Valrhona, Guittard, Ghirardelli...). My family goes through enormous quantities of cocoa powder -- for hot cocoa, brownies, chocolate cakes, cookies... and this is by far our favourite. It has depth, complexity, and richness. While the specialty cocoas are excellent, I find they can sometimes be quite bitter, lack richness or body. This one is always perfect for whatever we are making. And being in Canada, I go to great lengths to buy this cocoa -- that should tell you how much we love it! - Monika
