Stringozzi Pasta with Broccoli, Gorgonzola and Walnut Recipe
This recipe is from our old friend Giuseppe. The recipe calls for Stringozzi made with 50% farro flour, and 50% durum wheat pasta. Although you can make this recipe with any hearty pasta.
ingredients
approximately 1 pound of stringozzi pasta
1/2 pound broccoli flowers
1/2 cup walnuts - chopped
1/4 pound gorgonzola cheese
1 tablespoon butter
directions:
1. Boil broccoli in boiling water until al dente, then strain and set aside.
2. Cook pasta in boiling salt water until al dente. About 10-12 minutes.
3. While pasta is cooking, melt cheese and butter in saucepan. Add cooked broccoli and mix well. Add cooked pasta to sauce, mix well and transfer to a serving bowl. Sprinkle with walnuts and serve.
Serves 5-6
