Honey and Katz Apple Cider Vinaigrette Recipe

Cook Mode (Keep screen awake)

1-1/2 tablespoon honey

1/2 teaspoon Dijon Mustard

1 small shallot, finely chopped

3 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar

6 tablespoon Walnut Oil

Fine Sea Salt

freshly crushed Tellicherry Peppercorns

Honey Apple Cider Vinegar Dressing Recipe with Walnut Oil

Walnut oil and cider vinegar are a natural pair, and they are taken to new heights by the honey. This honey-apple cider vinegar dressing is particularly good over salads of hearty or bitter Spring greens. Try it on a combination of watercress, mâche, arugula, and radicchio with some chunks of caramelized apple and toasted walnuts as a garnish.

Directions:

1. Blend the honey thoroughly with the mustard, shallot and vinegar.

2. Slowly drizzle in the walnut oil while continuously whisking.

Salt and pepper to taste and serve.

Our favourite cocoa I have 8 varieties of cocoa at home -- red cocoa, black cocoa, natural cocoa, and several high-end specialty cocoas (Barry Extra Brut, Valrhona, Guittard, Ghirardelli...). My family goes through enormous quantities of cocoa powder -- for hot cocoa, brownies, chocolate cakes, cookies... and this is by far our favourite. It has depth, complexity, and richness. While the specialty cocoas are excellent, I find they can sometimes be quite bitter, lack richness or body. This one is always perfect for whatever we are making. And being in Canada, I go to great lengths to buy this cocoa -- that should tell you how much we love it! - Monika
