Basic Garlic Soy Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

½ cup soy sauce (light soy if you prefer it less salty)
2–3 cloves garlic, finely minced (or grated)
1–2 tsp honey or sugar
1 tbsp rice vinegar (optional, for brightness)
1 tsp sesame oil (optional, for nuttiness)
1–2 tbsp water (to adjust saltiness)

Optional: sliced chili or green onion for extra flavor


Directions:

1. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, minced garlic, and sugar.

2. Stir until sugar dissolves.

3. Add rice vinegar, sesame oil

4. Add water if desired, adjusting salt to taste.

5. Let sit for at least 10 minutes before serving so the garlic infuses into the sauce.
