Deep dark chocolate, crisp butter toffee, and sea salt come together in this beautifully balanced bar from Chocolat Moderne.
The chocolate begins with a 65% cacao blend of fine Valrhona dark chocolates, giving the bar plenty of cocoa depth without becoming overly intense. Folded throughout are crunchy pieces of buttery toffee, adding caramelized sweetness and a satisfying snap against the smooth chocolate.
The finishing touch is Halen Môn organic sea salt, harvested from the cold waters off the coast of Wales. As the chocolate melts, little bursts of salt sharpen the caramel notes in the toffee, temper the sweetness, and bring the richness of the dark chocolate into even greater focus.
