Our 2025 events schedule gave customers a chance to discover the joy of flavor with ChefShop’s in-store events in Seattle. From seasonal tastings to meet-the-maker gatherings, our events brought together food lovers, local chefs, and artisan producers. Whether exploring estate olive oils, learning about craft chocolate, or sampling holiday panettone, each event was a delicious way to connect with real ingredients and exceptional flavor.

2025 Events

Saturday, March 22 – Craft Chocolate Tasting

A selection of bars from six of our craft chocolate makers, available for tasting!

Saturday, April 12 – Taste of the Colomba

Similar to our famous holiday Panettone tasting event during the holidays, but this time we had Colomba, Panettone's Easter cousin, available for tasting.

Saturdays, May 3 & May 10 – Flavor Bar Highlights - Balsamico

We cleared the Flavor Bar of its Olive Oil for two weekends to make way for Balsamic Vinegar, including the very elusive 100-year from La Vecchia Dispensa!

Saturday, May 31 – Winter Parmigiano-Reggiano Tasting

We decided to order an extra wheel of Winter Milk Mountain Parmigiano-Reggiano. Honestly, we were tired of having no Parm left for ourselves or for our local store customers, so we changed that this time around. More great news--Winter Parm was available for tasting, with smaller pieces available for sale in the store.

Thursday, October 2 – Meet the Makers Chocolate Tasting

Our 3rd annual Meet the Makers event, where we welcomed craft chocolate makers into the shop to share samples and stories with our customers. In 2025 we hosted four different makers!

Saturday, October 25 – Chocolate Tasting

Two chances to taste chocolate for FREE this month! A perfect chance to sample craft chocolate from Ara Chocolat, Levêlez, Nomé Chocolate, and more!

Saturday - Sunday, November 15 - 16 – Chocolate Tasting

A free chance to taste the bold Jamaican flavors of Likkle More bean-to-bar chocolate, plus everyone's new must-have chocolate spread from Allo Simonne in Montreal.

Friday - Sunday, November 28 - 30 – Taste of the Cakes

Our biggest event of the year, with a spread of all our favorite Panettone, Panforte, Fruitcake, and more holiday treats for sampling. ⁠

How to Attend ChefShop Events

All ChefShop Seattle events are free, unless otherwise noted. No tickets or reservations needed—just drop in during event hours.

Easy, free parking just north of the store in the Elliott Junction gravel lot.

Visit the ChefShop Flavor Bar—Taste Every Day in Seattle

At ChefShop, you don’t have to wait for a special event to taste something extraordinary. Our in-store Flavor Bar is open daily, offering free tastings of our favorite ingredients. You’ll always find a lineup of exceptional olive oils, plus a rotating selection of featured products—from aged balsamic vinegars to craft chocolates, and more.

Stop by anytime to explore how great ingredients should really taste. The Flavor Bar is open whenever the store is open—no ticket or RSVP required.

Our favourite cocoa I have 8 varieties of cocoa at home -- red cocoa, black cocoa, natural cocoa, and several high-end specialty cocoas (Barry Extra Brut, Valrhona, Guittard, Ghirardelli...). My family goes through enormous quantities of cocoa powder -- for hot cocoa, brownies, chocolate cakes, cookies... and this is by far our favourite. It has depth, complexity, and richness. While the specialty cocoas are excellent, I find they can sometimes be quite bitter, lack richness or body. This one is always perfect for whatever we are making. And being in Canada, I go to great lengths to buy this cocoa -- that should tell you how much we love it! - Monika
