ChefShop.com’s Refund Policy

You may return any regularly stocked item within 20 days of receiving your order for a full refund or exchange, if it is in its original packaging. Special orders may be returned within 10 days of receipt, but are subject to a 50% restocking charge. No items that have been used or opened may be returned. Unfortunately, opened product is not considered safe and should not be returned.

The cost of shipping the original item or the return shipment, and the cost of shipping the exchanged item are the responsibility of the customer, unless ChefShop.com committed a shipping or order error. Round trip shipping charges will be the responsibility of the customer on orders that are shipped by ChefShop.com in good faith and are returned to us due to incorrect shipping information provided to ChefShop.com by the customers.

No item can be returned without prior authorization. Items returned to ChefShop.com without prior authorization will not be processed. To request an authorization, please call ChefShop.com's Customer Service at 800-596-0885.

Orders Damaged in Shipping
While every effort is made in packaging and correctly filling orders, occasionally a package is lost or damaged in transit, or an out-of-date product is shipped by mistake.

To insure your order is received complete and undamaged, and the product is within the sell-by date, we recommend the following:

1. Inspect the entire shipment for visible damage prior to accepting the shipment, and note any damage on the delivery ticket before the delivery person leaves.

2. Verify the number of packages delivered with the label on the outside of the box.

3. Unpack you order as soon as possible, and inspect for hidden or concealed damage and sell-by dates.

4. Should any damage be discovered, retain the shipping cartons and any inner packaging, in case we need the carrier to inspect the packaging.

Then contact ChefShop.com Customer Service toll free at 1-800-596-0885 to let us know. Please have your order number, shipping information and tracking number ready to assist us in this process. Please call us before returning any product.

ChefShop.com will pay for return shipping for an item that was sent to you in error, received defective or damaged, or shipped beyond its sell-by date.
 
International Orders:
All orders, including International orders, are shipped from our warehouse in Washington state in the US. Most International (non-US) orders are shipped via the US Postal Service (USPS) - unless otherwise specified. UPS International rates are available upon request. International orders not properly delivered by their in-country postal service will not be refunded unless ChefShop.com is found to have shipped or processed or addressed the order improperly. Product returned to us due to the inability or inefficiency or delinquency of local (in-country) postal delivery services will be refunded for product cost only PROVIDED the product is in sellable condition when it arrives back to us. In other words, if your local postal delivery services are not competent, corrupt or otherwise unable to deliver your package through no fault of ours, we are not responsible. If you don't trust your local postal service to delivery your package properly and without some sort of intervention by you, please email or call us to make alternative arrangement to use a private carrier (like FedEx or UPS or DHL) at your expense.
