Izzy's Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Izzy adapted a traditional toll-house cookie recipe to make these very chocolaty, chocolate chip cookies. They are always a big hit.

Ingredients
2-1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 sticks unsalted butter
1-1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup Pernigotti cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups dark chocolate chips or chunks of chocolate
2 eggs

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375-degrees (F).

2. Combine flour, salt, baking soda in a small bowl.

3. Beat butter, sugar, cocoa and vanilla in a large mixer. Beat until creamy.

4. Add eggs one at a time.

5. Gradually beat in flour moisture and stir in chocolate chips.

6. Bake for 9-11 minutes.

You can use a ice cream scoop to measure and if you poke a hole into the center of the scoop with a chopstick or like implement it allows the cookie to flatten out during baking.
