These delightful beans are grown by the Brizi family on the Cerqueto farm that is located near Acquapendente in the northeastern most part of Lazio - a mere spit of land that wedges itself between Toscana and Umbria. Their colorful farm has been in the Brizi family for several generations and is now also a center of Agriturismo in the region.

The Brizzi family specializes in bringing new life to traditional local products such as beans, garlic, saffron, fennel, lentils, chickpeas and others. Mr Brizi, his wife and his two children grow all those products on their farm using traditional, natural methods. The farm lies close to the Natural Protected Park of Monte Rufeno, where mushrooms and truffles grow naturally and can be collected only by licensed people under strict Park regulations. The Cerqueto farm has won several awards in Italy at local and national competition.
